Course Duration:

2 hours 30 mins (1 x 2.5 hour session)

Target Audience:

This training is open to all registered community based committee run early years’ provisions – Playgroups, Naiscoils, Crèches, Out of Schools and Day Nurseries. The sessions are aimed at the Honorary Officers and the Leader/Manager.

Course Outline:

Roles and responsibilities training for management committee members aims to help committees be more effective through understanding governance and their role in it.  Topics include

  • Understanding good governance
  • Understanding the roles of committees
  • Understanding the roles of office bearers and committee members
  • Understanding the legal structure of your setting
  • Understanding governance processes and procedures e.g. constitution, AGM committee meetings
  • Signposting to further sources of help

Please note that this course is suitable for organisations that are managed by a management committee only.
