Upon completion, the practitioner will have gained an understanding of how to support children and young people’s emotional health and wellbeing.
Learning Outcomes:
a) An understanding of what is meant by emotional health and wellbeing and what factors may contribute to poor emotional health and wellbeing
b) An overview of the of the common mental health difficulties that children and young people may experience
c) An understanding of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children’s emotional health and wellbeing
d) A knowledge of how to talk to and support children and young people with their emotional health and wellbeing
e) A knowledge of and information on emotional health and wellbeing resources including referral pathways
f) An understanding of the key concepts of partnership working including other professionals, parents and carers
