Target Audience
This course is for Practitioners designated as a Responsible Person accountable at managerial and operation levels for health & safety, risk assessment and manual handing within the child care environment.
Course Structure
This course will be delivered via a 2-step process.
Step 1: eLearning Level 1 Health and Safety Programme
This Level 1 Health and Safety eLearning course introduces learners to key health and safety issues within the workplace, teaching learners how to keep themselves, and others, free from harm in the workplace.
Module 1: Introduction
Module 2: Workplace hazards
Module 3: Workplace conditions
Module 4: Workplace procedures
Step 2: Childcare-Specific Training Bolt On (Including Health and Safety, Risk Assessment, Manual Handling and COVID-19 Specific Content)
This stage, giving delegates access to a tailored recorded video tutorial which can be accessed at times most suitable to the learner, will build on the stage 1 information gained. Content will be applied specifically to the childcare setting. Additionally, information will be augmented with COVID-19 specific guidance.

It is expected the candidates complete Steps 1 & 2 within 3 weeks of signing up/logging on.
On completion of Steps 1 & 2, a certificate will be issued which will be valid for 3 years.
